This forum will examine how poverty impacts the way people access health care–and how providing coverage is only the first step to promoting healthy outcomes. The forum will include a keynote speaker, a panel discussion with industry leaders, public interest groups, and leading experts on health care reform. After the keynote address, we will be conducting a 40-minute experiential learning session where attendees will participate in a “poverty simulation” which will offer a glimpse of the daily realities faced by low-income families.
